WagCirclePrivacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how WagCircle collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the WagCircle dog-walking app.
Information Stored on Your Device
WagCircle stores owner and dog profiles, photos, daily goals, walk history, GPS routes, and pee, poop, and water logs on your device. The app does not require an account or email address.
How Information Is Used
WagCircle uses your saved data to show dog profiles, track walks, calculate goals, and display History and Insights. Your saved profiles, photos, routes, and logs are not uploaded to WagCircle servers. App usage events may be sent to Mixpanel as described below.
External Services
Apple provides location, maps, in-app purchases, and WeatherKit. Open-Meteo may provide fallback weather information. RevenueCat processes purchase and Premium entitlement information using a device-local app identifier. Mixpanel processes app usage analytics. These services need network access for their features.
Analytics
WagCircle uses Mixpanel to measure app opens, feature use, walk lifecycle actions, and subscription related events. Mixpanel receives a generated analytics identifier and event details. Dog photos, saved profile details, private notes, and exact GPS route coordinates are not sent as analytics events.
Subscriptions and Purchase Information
WagCircle may offer Premium subscriptions that unlock additional features. Apple processes payments through the user's Apple ID account. WagCircle and its subscription service provider may receive information about subscription status, product identifiers, purchase history, renewal status, and entitlement status to validate purchases and provide Premium features.
WagCircle does not receive or store the user's full payment card number through the app.
Data Retention
Your saved app data stays on this device until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Removing the app may permanently erase local data.
Delete Local Data
Use Profile → Delete Local Data to remove saved profiles, photos, goals, walks, routes, and logs from this device. This does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Your Choices
You can edit or delete local data, manage iOS permissions, and manage subscriptions in Apple Account settings.
Children’s Privacy
WagCircle is not directed to children. Do not use the service if you are not permitted to do so under the applicable age requirement.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made.
