Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, WagCircle may collect:

• Account information, including email address and authentication information.
• Owner profile information and dog profile information such as name, breed, birthday, weight, sex, and photos.
• Walk information, including start and end times, active duration, distance, GPS route points, and completion, pause, cancellation, or interruption status.
• Pee, poop, and water events, including the time of each event and details you choose to provide.
• Technical, diagnostic, performance, and crash information needed to operate and improve the app.
• Analytics and usage information, such as app opens, screen views, feature usage, walk lifecycle events, subscription-related events, device model, iOS version, app version, and technical information associated with use of the app.

How We Use Information

We use information to manage accounts and dog profiles; record walks and calculate distance and active duration; display routes; provide History, Insights, daily goals, and streaks; provide weather information and walking suggestions; respond to support requests; maintain security; improve reliability; understand feature adoption and product usage; and process purchases and subscriptions when purchases are enabled.

Location Information

WagCircle uses location services during an active walk to calculate distance and record the walk route. Location access depends on the permission granted through iOS Settings. If location access is limited, unavailable, or interrupted, route and distance information may be incomplete or inaccurate. WagCircle may use Always location permission to continue tracking an active walk when the app is in the background. WagCircle does not use location to track you when you are not using an active walk feature.

Photos and Pet Information

Owner and dog photos are optional uploads used to display your profile and dog profiles in the app. WagCircle does not analyze photos or use them for advertising.

Data Storage and Service Providers

WagCircle uses third-party service providers to operate and improve the app. These may include:

• Supabase for authentication, database services, and stored profile, dog, walk, log, goal, route, and photo data.
• Apple, including Sign in with Apple, MapKit, Core Location, WeatherKit, and Apple In-App Purchase services, as applicable to the features you use.
• Open-Meteo as a fallback weather provider when WeatherKit is unavailable.
• RevenueCat for subscription management, purchase validation, and Premium entitlement status.
• Mixpanel for product analytics, feature usage measurement, and service improvement.

Third-party providers process information according to their own privacy policies and service terms. WagCircle shares only the information reasonably necessary for the applicable service.

Analytics and App Improvements

WagCircle uses Mixpanel to understand how users interact with the app and to improve product performance, reliability, and feature design. Depending on how you use WagCircle, Mixpanel may receive information such as app opens, screen views, feature usage, walk start and completion events, subscription-related events, device model, iOS version, app version, and Mixpanel-generated identifiers.

When you create an account or sign in, analytics events may be associated with your WagCircle account identifier, such as your Supabase user ID. WagCircle does not send passwords, authentication tokens, exact GPS route coordinates, dog photos, or private user-entered content to Mixpanel unless separately disclosed.

Mixpanel does not use Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for this analytics integration. WagCircle does not use Mixpanel to provide cross-app advertising.

Subscriptions and Purchase Information

WagCircle may offer Premium subscriptions that unlock additional features. Apple processes payments through the user's Apple ID account. WagCircle and its subscription service provider may receive information about subscription status, product identifiers, purchase history, renewal status, and entitlement status to validate purchases and provide Premium features.

WagCircle does not receive or store the user's full payment card number through the app.

Data Retention

Account and dog data are retained while your account is active. Walk history may be retained to provide History and Insights. Some limited information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.

Account Deletion

You can request account deletion through the in-app account-deletion flow or by contacting support. Account deletion is intended to remove your WagCircle account and associated profile, dog profile, walk, route, log, goal, and stored photo data. Some limited information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.

Your Privacy Choices

You may update account and dog information, manage iOS permissions, remove optional photos, request account deletion, and contact support about your information. You may also contact support if you want to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account.

Children’s Privacy

WagCircle is not directed to children. Do not use the service if you are not permitted to do so under the applicable age requirement.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made.
